locally sourced screening slag bedding for interlocking

Screening Bedding (Slag)

A locally sourced co-product of steelmaking, this bedding is used for all interlocking projects such as patios, driveways and retaining walls. Slag screening provides excellent drainage, preventing water from pooling and compacts well.

  • Screening is used to provide a smooth, stable and durable bedding that helps prevent settling, shifting or retaining water, setting very hard and solid over time. Stable on its own and does not always require containment.

  • A cost-effective green alternative to traditional bedding materials like sand, quarried limestone, crushed stone, or gravel.

  • Can act as a weed barrier when compacted well

  • Min 2" to max 4" top layer

high performance 1/4 chip bedding for interlocking

1/4 Chip Performance Bedding  (HPB)

1/4 washed limestone chips, this bedding is similar to limestone screenings, but does not contain any fines or dust. Great for drainage as the particles allow water to pass through, even when it is compacted. Performance bedding is 90% self-compacting & self levelling. It is not stable on its own and needs to be contained.

  • Crush is used to provide a stable and durable foundation that helps prevent settling, shifting or retaining water, setting very hard and solid over time. Stable on its own and does not always require containment.

  • A cost-effective green alternative to traditional base materials like, quarried crushed stone and gravel.

  • Not to be mixed with cement as it expands - use A Gravel or Clear
